Preparing For My Waxing Appointment...

How do I prepare my skin before waxing so that I can get the BEST possible results?

Preparing your skin in the lead up to your waxing appointment is essential and can help you get the best results from your wax too. We recommend the following to all of our clients before coming to us…

Exfoliation

Exfoliate! In between your waxing appointment we recommend that you exfoliate your skin to get rid of any dead skin cells. This will also allow hairs to break through the skins surface so that they can be easily removed. Dry body brushing works well to slough away dead skin, you can also use a good body scrub too.

Moisturising

- Moisturising is a must! (but not on the day of waxing appointment) We find that a lot of clients come in with very dry skin particularly on the knees. Keep your skin super hydrated before and after your waxing by using an oil based moisturiser. Coconut oil is very effective and natural too!

Let It Grow

Keep your hairs long enough so the hairs can all be removed. We recommend that your hair is at least the length of a grain of rice, no shorter. Coming in for regular waxing will give you better results and will save your pocket too!  (see our maintenance prices on our website)

Say NO to shaving

We totally understand that it can be difficult at times letting you hairs grow between appointments (especially with the gorgeous weather this summer!) PLEASE resist the urge though. This will almost always take you back to square one, it will give your hairs a sharp edge and make them appear darker.

You will be so happy when you have minimal hair growth and all of your hard work pays off… Trust us!
